The night before a big test, students of all ages may feel a sense of worry, dread, and fear. These emotions are normal. It’s important however to figure out ways to cope with them in order to maximize the chances of you doing well on an exam. Test anxiety can cripple an otherwise astute and ambitious student.

Students should use the 3Ps to overcome these anxieties: Prepare, Plan and Practice.

Prepare

You must know what the exam covers. You should be confident of the subjects that you know well and be equally as confident in recognizing the topics that you don’t know well. You can then spend the necessary time to work on your weaknesses.

Plan

Hiring a tutor is one of the best ways to get you to a level where you can do well. Your tutor can help you evaluate your strengths and weaknesses and then work with you to come up with a long-term study plan.

Practice

The more you practice your homework sets and review your past work with your tutor, the more confident you will feel on testing date.

Your execution of the 3Ps is a great way to help you eliminate your test anxiety and ace that test.
